These two styles of healing are very similar. They share a belief in a higher form of goodness or rightness, a judgment that something is wrong and needs to be changed, and an absolute willingness to sacrifice self to enact that desired change. These are two styles of attempting to share spirit with an imperfect reality. As a clairvoyant and a skilled energy healer, I have watched countless numbers of people enact these healing paths in their own lives. My observation is that, eventually, the healer develops an awareness that the self-sacrifice is real, it matters, and it isn’t working. Hence, my prediction that healing will change as time goes on.
The new vision for healing that I see in the future is radically different. The most important differences I see include less conviction that there is “a problem” in the world, less compulsion to solve “the problem,” and thus, less need for self- sacrifice. It develops from a nonjudgmental, accepting, trusting attitude, rather than the perception that the healer alone must save the world. It requires more trust— more trust in spirit without being directly responsible, more trust in the imperfect world to heal itself... and... finally, more permission for the healer to direct her divine inspiration inwardly to her own life and gain tangible, visible benefit to herself, without sacrifice. She need not sacrifice, if there is no problem, no heavy responsibility, no guilt in letting go and trusting others to heal themselves. There is no competition with a higher source of spirit because everyone has access to that source. The healer does not need to see herself as the only path.
The most exciting observation I have made is that this new vision of healing is phenomenally potent. A trusting, faith-filled attitude toward external situations heals the healer internally and directly, as well as the people around her, and the whole world. When she gives herself permission, she offers that possibility to everyone around her. When she allows herself to shine and thrive, she inspires everyone else to do the same in their own lives. When she chooses to accept the world as it is, all of the battles dissolve. When she steps away from dysfunction and creates wellness in a different arena, the ability to make that same choice tempts all others as well. This form of love moves inwardly first, and is spread outwardly without any effort or intention. Healing happens almost by accident, as a side-effect, and is soaked up by anyone who is ready to be inspired. The healer can be credited, but not held responsible, for the wide- spread benefits.
The important replacement for self-sacrifice today is Self-Expression. When you look around at changes in global, online communication, in commercial products and advertising angles, you see that self-expression is the newest, most exciting game in our culture. Younger generations get involved when they feel that they can be seen and heard, and their unique personalities are allowed to shine forth. This is part of the new healing. This cultural change will not delay or derail spiritual healing on the planet. In fact, this new passion for Self-Expression is exactly the new healing we need, individually and as a culture. So let your light shine, focus your healing gifts on your own life, and inspire people everywhere around you to do the same for themselves!!!
